Zoetrope
 
This week we learnt about the earliest form of moving imagery - The Zoetrope.
 
Invented in 1834 by Edward Muybridge, it was the first mechanic device that displayed images so that they appeared to move.
 
 
A sequence of 12 still images were shown in quick succession so that the object appeared to move as it would in real life.
